The HALT-2 Camera uses a modified Bushnell NatureView camera as its host.  This camera comes with a 460mm and 600mm lens for capturing herpetofauna and other small/slow moving species.  The passive infrared (PIR) heat/motion trigger has been deactivated and modified to incorporate the HALT-2 trigger. A receptacle plug is mounted on the face of the camera for coupling to any HALT-2 threshold.

The 14.5" HALT-2 Camera Trap is ideal for drift fence trapping. Just mount camera directly above threshold to capture dorsal images. Field-of-view for .jpg images is 13.5" by 10" when using a 460mm lens at 21". For .avi video, at same field-of-view width, attach a 600mm lens at 26.5".  Note; focus distance is different for both 460mm and 600mm lenses, field-of-view is different for .jpg and .avi images per lens.  Consult Bushnell NatureView documentation. The 18" HALT-2 threshold is ideal for a 19" ACO wildlife tunnel. You can capture inbound and outbound data, including species time of passage. If trapping inside the tunnel, dorsal images will be compromised, as the tunnel ceiling is low. Just mounted from a side position. The 600mm lens has a field-of-view of 18" by 13" for .jpg images. Video (.avi) is not recommended inside the tunnel unless you choke, or narrow, the entrance to the threshold. Note; focus distance is different for both 460mm and 600mm lenses, field-of-view is different for .jpg and .avi images per lens. Consult Bushnell NatureView documentation. Cable length is 60".

The 1-Meter HALT-2 Camera Trap is ideal for areas requiring a wider range.  Note: HALT-2 traps were designed for herpetofauna and other small and/or slow moving species. The further the camera is from the target species the smaller the image. Focus distance for a 1-Meter threshold is 4', meaning, 460mm and 600mm lenses are not necessary.  Consult Bushnell NatureView documentation. Cable length is 72".

The PVC Drift Fence Fixture 14.5" works exclusively with the HALT-2 Camera (Bushnell NatureView) and HALT-2 Threshold 14.5".  The Lid supports the NatureView camera which points down, capturing dorsal images (.jpg) of target species, using the 460 mm lens attachment.  Video format (.avi) on the 460 mm lens is narrower than the 14.5" threshold width and is not recommended, unless customer modifications are made to frame (raise height) and the 600 mm lens is used.  The Drift Fence Fixture comes unpainted (pvc white) and will require customer to paint camouflage prior to attaching camera and threshold.  Fixture measures 14.75" x 9.625" x 24.125"
